Jam3 approached me to create a concept experience which show the scale of the crisis and mobilise the social community to collaborate in a digital reinterpretation of the Dunkirk evacuation. A challenge will be made to the Twitter community to rescue 400,000 virtual soldiers in real time in 10 days to promote the new upcoming Christopher Nolan film Dunkirk.
Each user who joins the effort by Tweeting #Dunkirk, will rescue a single soldier. After making their contribution, they’ll receive an automated personal response that connects their action to a real-life soldier. They can then watch our dynamic digital visualisation of the rescue to see how the rescue effort is progressing in real time.
